The Road Funds’ staff drilled on Labour Law

From 21 to 22 March 2024, the Road Fund’s staff met in Mbankomo for a capacity-building workshop on labour rights.

The main objectives of the workshop were : i) to build the capacity of the Fund’s staff on employment law, particularly through a proper understanding of the key elements of the Labour Code and its implementing texts, ii) to facilitate work relations between staff – employers, the Road Fund – other public administrations.

It thus seemed appropriate for the Road Fund’s administration to hold such a training, given that some difficulties were encountered by the entity over the past years, which highlighted the need for the staff to be trained in issues that shape relations between employers and employees.

The capacity-building programme included four modules, which enabled participants to learn more on the employment legislation and regulations, the management of employment contracts, the management of relations with the labour inspectorate and social security.

Also, the Administrator urged his staff to take an active part in the discussions and practical work, in order to make the most of the workshop.
