It was during a workshop held from 28 February to 1 March 2024.
On 29 February 2024, the administration of the Road Fund officially launched the 2024 budget, during a workshop held at the United Hotel in Mbankomo. It was attended by the staff and experts from the sector ministries including the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Trade
This year, the Fund’s budget is being implemented in compliance with certain rules, in particular those contained in Circular No. 003/PM of 06 July 2015 on management control in the preparation and implementation of the State budget. The main objective of the workshop was to design a consolidated action plan for the implementation of the 2024 budget. This action plan will have to integrate the requirements related to the expenditure execution process and indicators allowing an objective evaluation of activities to monitor the performance of actors.
During the workshop, participants were drilled on the main tax innovations, as part of expenditure implementation and the elements of the price index for the 2024 financial year. They also endeavoured to (i) draw up action plans for each budget unit, (ii) ensure consistency between the various action plans drawn up, and (iii) update and adopt the 2024 procurement plan.
Participants were invited to work in a more harmonious, constructive and synergistic way, in order to achieve the Road Fund’s performance objectives for 2024.
